Sign Review - Bill Larsen

50 x 50 scanability. It passes this test.

Clean. Its clean.

Uniqueness. The no social security logo is unique. However, this has thwarted Bill's attempts at establishing himself beyond a one-issue candidate. Also, the website sounds more associated with an anti-drug campaign than a congressional campaign.

Color. RWB. Need I say more?

Grade C+

Having a generic URL is tacky and causes people to assume that you can't be too serious if you won't spend $20 for a real domain...

How many signs do you see that have at least one of the candidates issues on it? Too bad they did not show the other side of my new sign. It has a second message "Just Say No to Budget Deficits."

As for a real domain, keep in mind I began the endeavor of educating the public about Social Security nearly 33 years ago and created my first web site in 1998. My web site is well known and when you do a search using a number of different words, my web site is in the top five.

People do take me seriously. I will be as frugal with the tax payers money as I am with my own. I would hope you judge the candidate based on the issues and the substance, not the appearence or location of their web site.

If you would like to help me upgrade my website or have suggestions, please contact me at repealss@juno.com

Bill,

Having interacted w/ you I understand that you are a serious candidate w/ other issues than just social security. I was just pointing out the perception that many people (including those who have commented to me personally) might have in regards to your domain. In fact, to younger voters your domain will be the very first thing they notice and like it or not, they could form a negative opinion about your campaign.

I would suggest a campaign domain (BillLarson4congress.com or such) that has a link to your 50megs site. Although it may seem unimportant I don't believe a primary challenger can afford to lose ANY voters due to a poor first impression...

Bill,
As a first time subscriber to Yahoo Domains you can usually get your first domain name for $2.99 per year...that's about as frugal as they come!

Are you saying "NO" to social security for the retired or no to the entire social security system? I think the intent is unclear and, unless I want to dig further into your stand on the subject, seems too vague to be valid, more of a catchy gimmick.
