First Campaign Commercial Hits T.V.Land

Its official. The first television spot hit the airways. Ken Fries, GOP sheriff candidate, had a 15 second spot on channel 15 . The rest of the candidates will soon follow provided they have the funds to do so.

Most will complain that he went to the airways way too early. I think that is an exaggeration. It takes about six weeks for a television spot to sink in to the majority of voters. We are just a few days outside that time frame now. Fries will get an advantage by being the first to the airways. His message is not lost in the clutter of other campaign ads that will follow.

Ken Fries is as prepared a candidate as any I've seen. He is careful in planning. He has assembled a good team. He is disciplined.

This is how he will be as Sheriff.
It's why he is the commander of the Allen County Police Department SWAT team. Preparation, training, and the confidence of the people he commands.

I guess I missed Fries' message. Saw the ad, and I guess he's in favor of apple pie, but it's not clear to me why he would be a good sheriff.

Name identification.

Not unlike the billboards of Bill and Marla.

Maybe IndianaPundit would be willing to give a campaign tutorial here on laying the foundation of name id first.

Fries would not only be a good Sheriff, but an excellent Sheriff. He is a man with excellent skills, integrity, honesty. He is admired by his peers, and cares deeply about the safety of the citizens of Allen County. He has proven his leadership abilities in many instances. The best candidate out there.

so he's been planning forever ???? why doesn't ken have a degree ?? just because he has money to spend doesn't make him qualified or the best candidate. we're already tired of signs & ads & this started over 2 1/2 months before the election. give me a break !

Oh, a business, huh, like a grocery store, maybe?

Joyner is going to be the Democratic nominee, anyway, folks.

yes, maybe like a grocery chain and a business degree and a masters degree in public administration. prepared and qualified, qualified, qualified.

Look at Stroger's win in Chicago folks.

High turnout in inner city precincts helped Stroger. Should help Joyner in the primary.

Aside from all that - he is of normal girth.

You don't need to have a college degree to be a good cop. Ken Fries isn't just a good cop, he is a great cop. He will be the best Sheriff Allen County has seen in many years. Yes he is well prepared, because he knows what he wants to get done and how he is going to do it. All you have to do is spend five minutes talking with him to know he is committed to do what is best for the citizens and the police department of Allen County. Ken may not have a sheepskin hanging on his wall but he has something just as good that can't be learned in a classroom... street sense, intuition, good judgement and common sense.
